Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are said to be worth face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely represent the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of seven … five results in a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card can be given out depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or less, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the gambler hits, a chart will be used in order to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have cash left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pays out at eight to 1 and on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than one every ten hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Regardless odds are richly better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

Played accurately, baccarat presents relatively good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is surely not an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of last outcomes on a chart is a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful strategy is the one-3-2-6 method. This technique is used to build up payout and limiting risk.

start by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
