Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are give a value of their printed number while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they strictly portray the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 results in a total score of 2 (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, the two bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so make sure that you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay out eight to 1 but sometimes nine to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties will occur less than one every ten hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Even so odds are far better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When played effectively, baccarat presents pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is a waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and feasibly most successful strategy is the 1-3-two-6 method. This schema is employed to accentuate profits and lowering risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
