Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are of face value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they purely symbolize the 2 hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 and 5 produces a tally of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of 8 or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the gambler has five or lower, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even money less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have funds left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie commonly pay 8 to one but on occasion nine to 1. (This is an awful gamble as ties occur less than one every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. However odds are considerably better – 9 to one vs. 8 to one)

When done effectively, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some established myths. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of old outcomes on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful strategy is the 1-three-two-six technique. This method is employed to magnify successes and limiting risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
