Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards with less than a value of ten are said to be worth their printed number and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they strictly represent the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dumped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a score of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be given out depending on the following regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a score of eight or 9, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart shall be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pay out eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is not a good wager as ties will occur less than 1 every 10 hands. be wary of laying money on a tie. Even so odds are significantlly better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When played correctly, baccarat provides generally decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of last results on a chart is a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 technique. This plan is deployed to increase payout and reducing risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Coming out on top on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. In other words that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
