Baccarat Policies and Strategy

Baccarat Policies

Punto banco is played with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed number and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the cards, but the 1st digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus six = eleven; dump the 1st ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be given out using the following rules:

- If the player or house gets a total of eight or 9, both players stand.

- If the player has less than five, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.

- If the player stays, the house takes a card on five or less. If the player takes a card, a table is used to see if the banker stands or takes a card.

Baccarat Odds

The better of the 2 hands wins. Winning bets on the bank payout 19:20 (equal money minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you leave the game so make sure you have money remaining before you head out). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning wagers for tie usually pay 8:1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs less than 1 in every 10 rounds. Be cautious of wagering on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for 9:1 vs. 8 to 1)

Played correctly punto banco provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Course of Action

As with all games baccarat banque has a handful of accepted misunderstandings. One of which is the same as a false impression in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping score of past outcomes on a chart is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most familiar and definitely the most successful method is the one, three, two, six method. This tactic is deployed to build up earnings and limit losses.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add another to the two on the game table for a total of 3 units on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the game table, take away 4 so you keep 2 on the third round. Should you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the 4 on the game table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the initial bet followed by a loss on the 2nd creates a loss of 2. Success on the first two with a defeat on the third provides you with a take of 2. And wins on the initial three with a hit on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 wagers gives you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you can give up the 2nd round five times for each favorable run of four rounds and still are even.
