Punto Banco Regulations and Method

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Standards

Baccarat banque is played with 8 decks in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at their printed value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘house’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the total of the 2 cards, although the beginning digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and six has a total of one (5 plus six equals 11; ditch the first ‘one’).

A additional card may be dealt depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or house has a score of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he takes a card. Players stands otherwise.

- If the gambler stays, the house takes a card on 5 or less. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is used to decide if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Banque Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the house payout 19 to 20 (equal cash minus a 5 percent commission. Commission are recorded and paid off once you quit the table so be sure to still have money around just before you depart). Winning bets on the player pays one to one. Winning bets for a tie usually pay eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor wager as a tie occurs lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be wary of putting money on a tie. However odds are astonishingly greater for nine to one versus eight to one)

Played properly baccarat gives fairly decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games punto banco has quite a few common misunderstandings. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a harbinger of events about to happen. Tracking previous results on a chart is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.

The most common and almost certainly the most favorable course of action is the 1-3-2-6 method. This tactic is employed to maximize earnings and minimizing risk.

Start by betting one unit. If you succeed, add 1 more to the two on the table for a sum of 3 chips on the second bet. Should you win you will have six on the table, pull off four so you are left with two on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the game table for a total of 6 on the 4th wager.

Should you don’t win on the 1st wager, you take a loss of one. A profit on the first wager followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Success on the initial 2 with a loss on the 3rd provides you with a profit of two. And success on the first 3 with a defeat on the 4th means you are even. Succeeding at all 4 wagers gives you with twelve, a gain of 10. This means you are able to not win on the second wager 5 times for each successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
