Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are valued at face value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely appear as the two hands to be dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a total of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following codes:

- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores wins. Successful wagers on the banker payout 19 to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have dollars still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at eight to one but occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur lower than one every ten hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. However odds are significantly better – 9 to 1 versus eight to one)

Played smartly, baccarat presents generally decent odds, aside from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some well-known misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not a predictor of future events. Tracking of historic conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a total waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-two-six method. This plan is deployed to amplify wins and limiting risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second causes a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
