Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards of a value less than ten are said to be worth their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they only act as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The score for any hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … five has a tally of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be dealt depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie usually pay out 8 to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a terrible gamble as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. be wary of laying money on a tie. Still, odds are vastly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about every games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Staying abreast of old results on a chart is definitely a total waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and almost certainly most successful method is the 1-three-2-6 technique. This plan is deployed to accentuate wins and reducing risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd gamble. If you win the third wager, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. This means that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
