Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than 10 are valued at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they merely act as the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the first digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five produces a total score of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card can be played depending on the following protocols:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Victorious bets on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is tracked and cleared out when you leave the table so be sure to have cash left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie generally pays out at eight to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is a bad gamble as ties happen less than one every ten hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

When done correctly, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some well-known misunderstandings. 1 of which is similar to a roulette myth. The past is surely not an indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of previous conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and probably most successful technique is the 1-3-two-six concept. This schema is employed to maximize successes and reducing risk.

commence by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
