Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards that are valued under ten are of their printed value while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they strictly depict the 2 hands to be played).

Two hands of two cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the very first digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 and five has a total of 2 (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, the two gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he/she hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at 19 to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winning bets for tie generally pay 8 to 1 and sometimes nine to one. (This is not a good bet as ties happen lower than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are noticeably better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

Played properly, baccarat provides pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common myths. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an indicator of future actions. Tracking of historic outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most popular and possibly most successful method is the 1-3-two-six concept. This scheme is used to amplify profits and lowering risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the first wager, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
