Baccarat Policies

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than ten are said to be at their printed value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they only represent the 2 hands to be given out).

Two hands of 2 cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of seven as well as five gives a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the gambler or banker has a score of 8 or nine, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used to ascertain if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the 2 scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds less a 5% commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have dollars left before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie commonly pay eight to 1 but occasionally 9 to one. (This is an awful bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. However odds are appreciably better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

When done correctly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, away from the tie wager ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common misunderstandings. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future results. Keeping track of historic results on a chart is a waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-6 technique. This scheme is deployed to accentuate winnings and reducing risk.

start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the third bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
