Punto Banco Standards
Baccarat is bet on with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are counted at their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or for a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the 2 hands that are dealt).
Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The total for every hand is the total of the cards, although the beginning digit is ignored. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of 1 (5 plus 6 = 11; ignore the first ‘1′).
A third card will be given out depending on the rules below:
- If the gambler or bank gets a total of eight or 9, both players stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players otherwise stay.
- If the player stands, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a table is used to determine if the bank stands or takes a card.
Punto Banco Odds
The better of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5% rake. The Rake is tracked and paid off when you leave the table so ensure you still have funds left before you depart). Winning wagers on the player pays 1 to 1. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad bet as ties occur lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of betting on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9:1 vs. eight to one)
Wagered on properly baccarat gives fairly good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Method
As with all games baccarat banque has a few general myths. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of future events. Keeping track of past outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and a snub to the tree that was cut down for our paper needs.
The most established and probably the most successful strategy is the one-three-two-six tactic. This plan is used to pump up winnings and limit risk.
Begin by placing one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the game table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the table, remove 4 so you are left with two on the third bet. If you come away with a win on the 3rd wager, add 2 on the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th round.
If you don’t win on the first wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a hit of 2. Wins on the first two with a hit on the third provides you with a take of 2. And success on the initial three with a defeat on the fourth means you break even. Winning all four rounds gives you with twelve, a take of 10. This means you can squander the second bet five times for each favorable streak of four bets and still experience no loss.
