Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are of a value less than ten are said to be worth face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they simply portray the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for any hand will be the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For eg, a hand of seven and five has a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card might be given out depending on the foll. rules:

- If the player or banker has a total score of 8 or nine, both bettors stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart might be used to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out 8 to 1 and sometimes 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties occur lower than 1 every ten hands. be wary of betting on a tie. Nevertheless odds are richly better – nine to one versus 8 to one)

Played properly, baccarat presents generally good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is not a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of historic conclusions on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and feasibly most successful tactic is the one-3-2-6 method. This plan is used to maximize payouts and limiting risk.

Begin by wagering one unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the four on the table for a value of six on the fourth gamble.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Accomplishing a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. In other words you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
