Baccarat Practices and Scheme

Punto Banco Principles

Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards below 10 are worth face value while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Bets are placed on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands to be dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand is the sum total of the cards, although the 1st number is discarded. e.g., a hand of 5 and 6 has a total of 1 (5 plus six equals 11; ditch the 1st ‘one’).

A third card may be dealt depending on the rules below:

- If the gambler or bank achieves a total of 8 or nine, both players stay.

- If the gambler has less than five, he hits. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player holds, the house takes a card on five or less. If the player takes a card, a table is used to determine if the house holds or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out nineteen to Twenty (equal money minus a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and paid off when you leave the game so make sure you have funds remaining just before you quit). Winning wagers on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays 8:1 but sometimes nine to one. (This is a poor wager as ties occur less than one in every 10 hands. Avoid putting money on a tie. Although odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Played correctly baccarat banque gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Scheme

As with all games Baccarat has a handful of common myths. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of future events. Keeping score of previous results on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper desires.

The most common and possibly the most successful strategy is the one, three, two, six plan. This plan is deployed to build up earnings and limit losses.

Begin by betting one dollar. If you succeed, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will now have 6 on the table, take away four so you have two on the 3rd bet. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd round, add 2 on the four on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.

Should you lose on the first bet, you take a hit of one. A win on the first bet followed by a hit on the 2nd causes a hit of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you with a gain of two. And wins on the 1st 3 with a hit on the fourth means you experience no loss. Succeeding at all 4 wagers leaves you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you are able to not win on the 2nd wager 5 times for each successful run of 4 wagers and in the end, break even.
