Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than ten are valued at face value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just appear as the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand will be the sum of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of 7 … 5 gives a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be dealt depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of 8 or 9, both gamblers stand.

- If the player has five or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores wins. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and paid out when you leave the table so ensure you have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie commonly pay out 8 to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is a crazy gamble as ties occur lower than 1 every ten hands. abstain from placing bets on a tie. However odds are considerably better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)

When done properly, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, apart from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. 1 of which is quite similar to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an actual indicator of future happenings. Tracking of previous outcomes on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and feasibly most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 method. This plan is used to maximize winnings and controlling risk.

Begin by gambling one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third gamble. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first wager, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the 2nd creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
